Religious figures and stacks of wooden crates at the 81st Foire Nationale aux Antiquites a la Brocante et aux Jambons at Chatou, now underway.
The popular bi-annual event at Ile de Chatou continues from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through Sunday, Oct. 3rd. Tickets are available at the gate. Take the RER A to Rueil-Malmaison or Chatou-Croissy, then walk the short distance to Ile des Impressionnistes. You'll be amazed by the vast array of beautiful antiques and vintage collectibles!

Not the place for me to go. I would have a terrible time not purchasing the wicker chairs. The twin porcelain vases resemble a pair that we have, without spouts and handles. My father in law bought them in Paris in 1920.

What a treasure trove ... you should definitely buy the taupe chairs & sofa and painted chest! Love the atmosphere created by the religious figures with the crates in the first pic.

Definitely, I can see you with the gray sofa and chairs and chest. I also love that wood cherub and the bird cages are each one beautiful. Thanks for sharing the beauties you saw at Chatou. Ahhhh, the memories of another such sale.
