Masses of puffy clouds at sunset...
The aftermath of a brief hailstorm Sunday afternoon: the wind overturned a plastic bucket and two glass lanterns.
Our balcony was covered with little chunks of ice...
...as was the sidewalk across the street.
"Weather is a literary specialty and no untrained hand can turn out a good article on it." - Mark Twain
"The trouble with weather forecasting is that it's right too often for us to ignore it and wrong too often for us to rely on it." - Patrick Young
Whatever the weather, this photo makes me smile. Did you know it once was possible to send children via the US Postal Service??!!
Scroll down the page for a post about really extreme weather!

Oh my gosh. Can I just tell you that it has been a week of over 100 here! That ice looks a little sweet to me. lol

Oh, my! I'd never heard of sending children thorugh the mail -- just on airplanes with stewardesses way back when! What weather! That Patrick Young quote is perfect!

The picture did make me smile. I had never heard of this, sending children through the mail. You definitely are having extremes in weather. We are having cooler mornings and nights, but the afternoons still warm up and I am soaking up the sun.

You don't know how jealous I am of your hail storm. It looks so cool and clean. I am sitting here in the heat of Egypt, sweating buckets and wishing I was in the Netherlands instead. Don't tell me about the grass being greener though as there is no grass here.
