On a rainy Wednesday, Oct. 12th, Dutch horses and riders gathered for the 740th Annual Horse Market and Parade. Click photos to view detail.
Sorry to delay posting these pictures, but between fighting a nasty bug and house-hunting, I haven't had much time or energy to blog.
Check back this week for photos of Dutch cowboys and more horses from the Horse Market and Parade.

Love the mix of oufits and decorations. I saw the market in Voosschoten a couple of years ago which was pretty impressive but I don't think they parade through the town there. Hope you are making progress with the house hunting !

I'm allergic to horses and had to use an inhaler just looking at these photos. But oh, it looks like so much fun!

I am still as crazy about horses now as I was when I was twelve so I love seeing all these photos!

They're so handsome! What a wonderful day out! I'm not a rider, but I do love the majesty of a horse.

Thanks for sharing these fun pictures. I loved the hand prints on the derriere of the horse, the red bandana around anothers neck, and just the pure fun portrayed here.
Good luck with the house hunting. I am guessing you are looking in Netherlands and deciding to stay awhile.
