With the exception of 2006 when I was in Seville, it's the first time in 11 years that I'm missing the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Hippodrome de Longchamp, Paris. It's disappointing not seeing the beautiful racehorses and the unusual hats in person. So I'm doing the next best thing and watching the festivities on television.
Here are photos from the 2010 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (click images to view detail):

So sorry you missed it this year! I've loved seeing your photos here.

Love these stunningly beautiful hats! I think I’ll have the pink one – I wish. Collections of a trendy outfit! Nice mix and match fashion ideas. Thanks for sharing.

Why is it that French women can carry off outrageous/unusual hats with such panache while English women, hat-obsessed, so often just look ... ouch!? (And on a different note, that uniformed young man is such a dish). This looks like a fun event for people-watching - I can see why you'd miss it.
