Floral displays on a foggy day.
Snow-dusted plants.
Zinc pots of festive berries and pine cones.
An abundance of red in stoneware pots.
A florist's vitrine, with trees made of frosted pine cones.
An interior design firm's display window.
Sinterklaas decorations in a show window.
The entrance hall to the store in the former post office. The building has its original 17th-century tiles and traditional Dutch architecture. It's now been broken up into a store, a house and an apartment, with a huge garden and courtyard.
This moss-covered Buddha reclines in the garden.
Shoppers seeking bargains.
An organ grinder to entertain the children.
A garland of flowers to brighten a bicycle.
A simple and elegant front door.
I'm still working on our Christmas decor. I have the fireplace mantel decorated, but much more to be done. Am off to see my favourite local florist for inspiration.
I hope you're taking photos of your holiday decor! It would be nice to see images representing Christmas celebrations around the world.

I love seeing holiday decorations from around the world, and don't know so many from the Netherlands, so yours are particularly interesting. I'm getting mine together and soon they'll be on the Gypsy. I'll let you know!

Loved seeing these festive Dutch scenes - I would want to buy everything at that florist's shop. And the organ grinder - what a treat! I have to survive a teenage party this weekend, and then will haul out the Christmas decorations and get in the mood. I look forward to your pics!

A photographic vacation for us, wonderful armchair travel. I would be shelling out for some of those potted plants, to be sure!

The photos are wonderful to see. I'm going to show my grandchildren the organ grinder with the little stuffed monkey. Haven't thought of an organ grinder in years.

I was just thinking how nice it is to see the holiday displays in your neighborhood. Yes, it is fun to see. I did take pictures of my decorations and will share next week. Now I want to walk in my neighborhood and find holiday touches to photograph. Your flower shop is especially festive.

Haven't begun decorating yet as I'm still unpacking from our Thanksgiving week on the OBX, but maybe this weekend. (I'm obviously a slow unpacker ;0) I love the color palette of the interior design co.'s window - mellow and warm and lovely. When I saw the Sinterklass display I thought at first that the fluorescent shop lights were the arms of a windmill and I thought ... what?! Silly me. I can't wait to see more of your holiday decorations - they're always beautiful and inspiring! Take care.
