Canal locks?

looks like a watermill Wonder what the weights are for. And the fork above the sign is probably to pick up things people do throw in the water


From the first I've thought it was windmills. I mean, the second. After the last, I'm still holding onto that one! Windmill preservation? Or, as Mary said, water/power but via the wind?


My first guess was something to do with the fishing industry.
