Chapel, York Minster Cathedral, York, England. The windows remind me of the Twin Towers.
...and we won't forget.
I sit in one of the dives
on 52nd Street
Uncertain and afraid
As the clever hopes expire
of a low dishonest decade:
Waves of anger and fear
Circulate over the bright
and darkened lands of the earth,
Obsessing over private lives;
The unmentionable odour of death
offends the September night.
***********
Into this neutral air
Where blind skyscrapers use
their full height to proclaim
the strength of Collective Man,
Each language pours its vain
Competitive excuse:
But who can live for long
in an euphoric dream.
- W.H. Auden, Sept. 1, 1939

What an amazing photo, and what amazing eyes and heart to see the connection to the Twin Towers.
I am thinking of all my American friends today.

I posted about this too. I wasn't going to write about 9/11 because I was getting so tired of the media frenzy but -- Poof -- when I sat down to write something came out of its own volition.

Amazing photo that immediately brings the twin towers to mind. And we do remember. The tribute this morning of the reading of the names brought me to tears.
