An afternoon stroll in my neighbourhood. Click photos to view detail.
These houses are built against a wall that once encircled the city.
A duck flaps its wings.
A carpet of leaves leading to a dyke road.
One of the town's historic gates.
The church bell tower, viewed from a distance.
Riot of colour
autumn's last gasp of beauty
before winter's chill
Thank you for sharing these photos that capture God's handiwork so magnificently. As I viewed I was wooed to meditate, drink in the peace, walk the path with purpose, and count the ducks. Refreshing indeed!!

When I looked at these photos I immediately thought of a lyric in one of the songs Annie Lennox sings.."Sweet Dreams are made of this." What a beautiful place!

There are no words to describe the beauty here, but I will say gorgeous! It is definitely a place that would soothe the soul. I would love to walk down the road to the dike and visit with you as we walked.

I developed an affection for foliage since living in Cambridge, MA and my heart yearns for New England every fall. Your neighborhood looks beautiful and these images are transporting me to hues and smells well-loved.
