A bronze statue of a Hindu goddess, marked with coloured powders and draped with a chain of marigolds.
At the moment, my daughter Jordana is in India for her work with an American fashion house. It's her first trip to this intriguing and perplexing country, bursting with colour and chaos. I'm thrilled that later this month she'll be in Amsterdam for three days, en route to the US. No doubt she'll have plenty of Indian adventures to recount.
“But nothing in India is identifiable; the mere asking of a question causes it to disappear and merge into something else.” - E.M. Forster
“In India an explanation is often more confusing than what prompted it.” - Tahir Shah, Beyond the Devil's Teeth
How did I miss this one? Jordana is sure having remarkable life experiences -- good for her! I send her good wishes -- I wonder if it will change her color palette?!

Beautiful photo, Tara!
I wish Jordana well in her travels. I am sure she will be working hard while she is in India.

I love this image! India is like no where else, for sure! You may enjoy seeing our photo book, ""Hello, India!" online on the BOOKS page of my website. Good luck to your daughter, you have my 'permission' to shamelessly promote her successes in any way! (-: Carole

I wish I could adequately express how much I look forward to your posts, Tara. Thought provoking essays or explosions of color it matters not which I find. Checking your site is a must in my daily routine. That said, this photo is brilliant!
