One of the French cities that I find most charming is Montreuil-sur-Mer. It's old and rustic and brimming with ambience and faded elegance. Montreuil-sur-Mer is one of the few cities in France with its medieval walls largely intact. Here are 50 photos from a recent visit (click images to view detail).

If I had to pick a favorite, I couldn't. What a remarkable place this is -- absolutely wonderful in every way! (But I do love those blues!). I agree with Mary H. who would love to see a book of your photos. I'd like one of just these!

THIS is a sight for sore eyes. Beautiful city, makes me want to visit. I was trying to pronounce it and sounding rather silly I'm sure...need you here to translate for me miss! Montreal Sermer. HA!
Yes agree with Mary.H about a large glossy book with your images. Please do that. xo

Fascinatingly beautiful, Tara. The aged walls, the colors, the stone and ironwork...this was a vacation in miniature. My soul thanks you.

STUNNING! Tara, I am a fan of your work-LOVE IT! So hope there will be a published collection of your pictures at some time. I believe it may be more acceptable studying a book as opposed to drooling while staring at the computer screen!

I love your eye with the photography of this lovely village.
Oh there is so much beauty to see in the world. How I would
