Leaders from 53 countries are attending a nuclear security summit today at The Hague (Den Haag). Earlier, US President Barack Obama - accompanied by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Amsterdam Mayor Eberhard van der Laan - visited the Rijksmuseum, its tunnel pathway lined with more than 34,000 tulips. President Obama particularly admired Rembrandt's masterpiece "The Night Watch."
Here's an amusing little video about Amsterdam, which may encourage you to visit! And here's a video showing a brilliant homage to The Night Watch.

Enjoyed both videos!
Hope they can resolve some nuclear issues.

These are both terrific videos, Tara. I'd seen the Rijksmuseum one before but the Holland Is Cool really brought back some fond memories!
I thought of you when I heard the news about the summit! That's pretty cool!

Never been to Amsterdam but you might be interested that thru my maternal Grandmother Rodormer, goes back to Sarah Rapalje, the first white female born in Albany, July 9, 1625. Her parents came over from Amsterdam on the 1st ship to bring the first immigrants in March 1624.
