When darkness lifts, this brave and beautiful city remains strong and proud. No cowardly terrorists can stifle the Parisien spirit.
“He who contemplates the depths of Paris is seized with vertigo.
Nothing is more fantastic. Nothing is more tragic.
Nothing is more sublime.” - Victor Hugo

A timely reminder of shared values, on a sign hanging on my garden wall. Vive la Republique; vive la France!

Thank you for your tribute. I love Paris and you, such fond memories. My heart just breaks for the hurt around the world and I wonder where is the love of all people?

Tara,
Your words and photos, once more, say more than I can express with my simple vocabulary. Paris will always stand strong.
You and your Paris are in my heart tonight.

My heart aches. This is a lovely way of saying how you feel about an amazing place and people.

Those of us who lived and loved Paris hurt as if a dear relative has been wounded. My day today has gone in a fog of memories, trying to make sure my dears in Paris are alright, and a sense of both anger and sadness. Most of all, inability to comprehend this or any similar attack against innocent people whose only fault was to be out in a beautiful night to enjoy some music. In spite of what they may try to take away "we will always have Paris" Thinking of you, sending you love.

The heart is heavy this morning. You and those you know in Paris have been in my thoughts. A beautiful post and photo to remind us of what Paris stands for -- and Paris will not stand down.
