Over the years, David and I traveled on many a steam train, from the North Yorkshire Moors to the South Devon coast. We loved the spirit of adventure and romance of these vintage trains.
Today is David's birthday. And while he's not here to celebrate, remembering our many journeys together - by train, plane, boat, bus, car, bicycle and on foot - makes me smile.
How lucky we were to celebrate so many birthdays together!
